Shlock and Sillyness

I did think I'd seen the worst when a catalog offered Pride and Prejudice salt-and-pepper shakers in the form of Elizabeth and Darcy.

Today, though, a different company says that for just $7.00 (plus s&h) I can become the proud possessor of a kit containing 22 assorted Jane Austen temporary tattoos.

  1. (blush) I think I might be tempted, but solely for the sake of the one that says IMPRUDENT.

  2. Oh, dear. Maybe I shouldn't tell you this, but friend Meg and I showed up at the Regional Coordinators' business meeting at the recent JASNA AGM wearing matching hot pink "Obstinate, Headstrong Girl!" t-shirts. (Picked out for us by friend Lisa, I might add.) We must be two of the silliest girls in the country!

  4. so why not permanent ones??? We just took on a graduate student from Peru to join our shorebird research group...it didn't hurt her application for us to see the 3 perfect pictures of sandpipers, down to details of their wing feather molt, tattooed on the her shoulder....now that's dedication!
